Karen Hendrickson Nwaobi

Karen was the Executive Vice President of TNA Ghana Ltd provides consumer-based and corporate consultancy services to a roster of local and international clientele. While there, she was responsible for the company’s operations. Karen’s life and work in Ghana came about when, in late 2003, she and her husband Richard Nwaobi decided to fulfill their dream of living and working in Africa.

Karen is the former Senior Vice President of Client Relationship Management of the Bank of Bermuda Limited. Prior to joining the Bank of Bermuda, Karen held positions at Frank B Hall (BDA) Ltd and Zurich International (Bermuda) Ltd.

Karen received her early education in Jamaica and Bermuda. She holds an MBA and a BBA (Accounting) from Acadia University, Canada.xxMs Hendrickson has a variety of interests and has served on many steering committees and think tanks. She has served as the Chairperson of the Bermuda Government’s Consumer Affairs Board and with the Bermuda Immigration Advisory Board.

Karen provides advisory services and assistance to many arts, youth, and gender empowerment charities. She was the head of fundraising for the Ghana International Women’s Club, a charity organization which funds the underprivileged and needy in Ghana. Karen is also heavily involved with Golden Hearts, a Ghanaian charity which covers the surgical operation costs of children afflicted with heart defects.
